Blueprint

A Blueprint is the name given to the contents of the Enterprise Architecture Framework and is another word for describing the architecture description (IEEE1471).

A Blueprint consists of models, documents etc which are classified by the following states:

Current State Enterprise Architecture

The Current Enterprise Architecture is the set all Solution Architecture models that have been developed by the delivery projects to date.
Ownership of the Solution Architecture Models are transferred to the current Enterprise Architecture when the delivery project is closed.

Development State Enterprise Architecture

The Development State Enterprise Architecture represents the total set of Solution Architecture models that are currently under development within the current Programmes and Development Projects.

Target Vision State Enterprise Architecture

The Target Enterprise Architecture vision provides a blueprint for the future state of the Enterprise Architecture needed in order to satisfy the organisation's Business Strategy and target operating model.
