A Blueprint is the name given to the contents of the Enterprise Architecture repository and is another word for describing the architecture description (IEEE1471).
A Blueprint consists of models, documents, artifacts, deliverables etc which are classified by the following states:
Current State Enterprise Architecture
The Current Enterprise Architecture is the set all Solution Architecture models that have been developed by the delivery projects to date.
Ownership of the Solution Architecture Models are transferred to the current Enterprise Architecture when the delivery project is closed.
Development State Enterprise Architecture
The Development State Enterprise Architecture represents the total set of Solution Architecture models that are currently under development within the current Programmes and Development Projects.
Target Vision State Enterprise Architecture
The Target Enterprise Architecture vision provides a blueprint for the future state of the Enterprise Architecture needed in order to satisfy the organisation's Business Strategy and target operating model.
More states can be created to represent intermediate models.
