Team Mission

The following table outlines the core responsibilities of EA team and the deliverables that they will gradually develop and use in their work with programmes and projects.

Ensure that the project solutions and technology investments are consistent with the organisations strategic and business development objectives.	Business Principles, EA Principles
Ensure that project/programme directions and all their deliverables are consistent with a single Target Enterprise Architecture Vision and with an Enterprise Architecture Roadmap and guidelines to achieve that target vision.	EA Blueprint, EA Guidelines, EA Roadmap
Sign-off enterprise architecture related parts of all relevant deliverables from programmes /projects.	Sign-off of project deliverables
Ensure that project directions that are not in line with EA recommendations are documented with their rationale and are approved by IT Management.	EA Gaps
Evaluate new industry trends in Enterprise Architecture and assess applicability to the organisation	EA Topics, EA guidelines

For the sign-off efforts, the general approach will be to focus on high level documents.
However if those documents do not cover all the elements that are relevant to EA and if circumstances do not permit to include them, EA will also review and sign-off other software development deliverables.
The scope and allocation of EA efforts will primarily be driven by the business goals, more precisely by the severity of business consequences if projects/programmes would violate some principle or guideline.
